The Taming of the Shrew
It was an incredible honor and thrill to play the male lead, the larger than life "Petruchio," in this production. The costumes were incredible, the set was beautiful (complete with working fountain), the cast and crew were fun & talented and, my role was an exhilarating challenge.

Trevor's Petruchio with Erin's Kate
Petruchio (Trevor) & Kate (Erin Kranz)

As you may know, much of this play's success depends on the chemistry between Kate and Petruchio. I was incredibly blessed to work with the talented, professional and giving Erin Kranz. We had a great time working, joking and exploring our characters' relationship together. I couldn't have asked for a better partner.

Today, this Shakespeare play is often dismissed as being purely chauvinistic and can be unpopular with modern audiences. Everyone involved worked hard to make the story work while also focusing on making it understandable for general audiences. My personal goal was to make it clear that Petruchio truly loved Kate and was ultimately changed and "tamed" himself. From the reaction of our incredibly enthusiastic (and sold-out) audiences, we accomplished our task.

As you might guess from my description, this show was one of my favorite theatre experiences.
